This highly potent substance is extremely dangerous, leaving many victims in its wake. Our opioid rehab in Marietta is dedicated to helping individuals overcome addiction and embark on the path to a healthy, successful future. We provide unwavering support through a variety of therapies and holistic strategies. Our goal is to empower individuals with the skills to cope with triggers and address the underlying causes of their addiction and mental health challenges in a healthy, sustainable way.

What is Fentanyl?

High-potency opioids were developed for pain management in medical settings. These synthetic opioids are typically prescribed only to individuals with terminal conditions or those recovering from major surgery. They come in various forms, including patches, lozenges, and injections.

Unfortunately, opioids are often manufactured and sold illegally. When misused, these drugs have devastating consequences. They can also be mixed with other substances, increasing the risk of addiction, overdose, and death.

The Dangers of Fentanyl

High-potency opioids are among the most lethal substances an individual can encounter. They are 100 times stronger than heroin, and even as little as 2 mg can be fatal. According to the DEA, just one kilogram of these opioids is enough to kill over 500,000 people. Synthetic opioids, such as high-potency opioid, are now the leading cause of overdose deaths in the United States.

It has become increasingly common for other drugs, such as cocaine or heroin, to be laced with high-potency opioid. When this occurs, individuals can unknowingly ingest opioids, leading to accidental overdose. This underscores the critical importance of seeking drug rehab for anyone struggling with substance dependency.

Options for High-Potency Opioid Rehab in Marietta, Georgia

Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery offers different types of outpatient programming. We also partner with reputable detox and inpatient facilities for those just beginning treatment or needing round-the-clock supervision. We offer:

With participants attending five days a week for approximately four hours a day, this type of program provides those in rehab with an extensive level of structure and support. While in a PHP, clients are encouraged to reside in a sober living facility or their home environment as long as it is stable and void of triggers.

IOP sessions are held three to five days a week for several hours at a time. Though less comprehensive than a PHP, clients are given a higher level of support than they would in traditional outpatient treatment. IOPs offer flexibility while still providing participants with ample support.

After IOP, many clients step down to our regular outpatient program (OP). During OP, clients attend one individual therapy session per week. In addition, clients can attend two group sessions per week for a total of three to four hours of treatment. Each session—whether individual or group—must take place on a different day of the week (in other words, clients cannot participate in a “block” of sessions on the same day during OP).

Risk of Using Fentanyl

There are several risk factors that have been linked to high-potency opioid addiction. A person may be associated with one or more of these risks. Factors that may contribute to the development of a high-potency opioid dependency include but are not limited to:
