Opioids have a high potential for dependency, whether prescribed medically or purchased illicitly. This dependency can lead to addiction, which may have serious consequences, including overdose and death. Given the ongoing opioid crisis, it is crucial for individuals struggling with both addiction and related mental health issues to seek comprehensive support. At Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery, we offer a multidisciplinary team of dedicated professionals and a full suite of therapeutic services designed to address both addiction and mental health needs, ensuring our clients receive the holistic care they require.
Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery is a comprehensive outpatient treatment facility located in Marietta, GA. Here, we address opioid addiction by helping individuals identify, understand, and cope with their condition in a healthy manner. We recognize that opioid addiction often co-occurs with mental health challenges, and our approach is designed to support both areas. Types of opioid addiction we treat include:
We offer medication management as well as a variety of evidence-based and holistic treatment modalities. We not only treat addiction but any co-occurring mental health disorders an individual may have. Our personalized treatment plans are comprised of a combination of the following:
Though opioids are an effective way to treat pain, they can quickly become addictive when misused. Signs and symptoms that an individual can benefit from attending opioid rehab in Georgia include the following:
If you recognize these symptoms in yourself or in a loved one, it is important to seek help immediately. Opioid addiction can have devastating consequences; the earlier it can be addressed, the better.
We offer a wide range of programming in order to get our clients the help they deserve. Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery’s goal is to aid in achieving long-term healing and sustainable sobriety. Our opioid rehab programs exhibit high-quality care that teaches healthy coping mechanisms and habits.
However, it is vital to begin opioid addiction treatment at the inpatient level of care, starting with detox and then inpatient rehab. While we don’t offer these programs at Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery, we partner with providers who do. That way, our clients are ready for our outpatient programs starting with partial hospitalization.
The following are the levels of care needed to recover from opioid addiction:
It is essential to begin addiction treatment with a clean state. Those in need of detox should seek professional treatment as withdrawal symptoms can lead to serious health complications when not supervised. We partner with reputable detox centers that allow individuals to undergo withdrawal in a secure and nurturing environment.
Residential or inpatient rehab is ideal for those in need of 24/7 supervision and care. Participants live on-site while undergoing treatment. Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery partners with inpatient facilities that allow clients to achieve a strong position in recovery before transitioning to outpatient programming.
Our most intensive level of care, PHPs offer necessary structure and unwavering support while allowing clients to reside at home or in a sober living facility. Participants attend treatment five days a week for about four hours at a time.
Typically a step down from a PHP, our IOP offers clients a greater sense of independence. However, it does offer a more thorough level of care than traditional outpatient programs. Our clients attend their IOP three to five days a week for several hours a day.
The time an individual needs to be in opioid rehab is based on the severity of their addiction, how long they have been addicted, and how often they use opioids. Additionally, the type of opioid being misused can affect the length of opioid rehab. Age, health, living environment, underlying causes, and genetic predispositions can also influence this timeline.
The overall goal of opioid rehab is for it to last long enough for a person to have a firm foothold in their sobriety. An individual’s full continuum of care can range from 30 days to a year, depending on the aforementioned factors. Outpatient rehab programs are usually transitioned to after detox and inpatient treatment. This portion of rehab is designed to help an individual integrate back into the world while properly managing recovery and avoiding triggers.
Our opioid rehab program begins with an initial assessment. This gives our addiction specialists a better understanding of your substance use disorder and position in recovery. From there, we comprise an individualized treatment plan. Our programs emphasize the role peer settings and group therapy play in establishing sobriety. Participants are encouraged to connect with others, improving their social skills and curbing feelings of isolation.
At Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery, we are particularly proud of our equine-assisted therapy program. Clients benefit from caring for horses as it builds confidence and improves self-esteem. It also promotes problem-solving skills, empathy, trust, self-care, impulse control, and emotional awareness. Clients are encouraged but not required to participate.
The opioid epidemic has had detrimental consequences for many. It’s time to find sobriety, so you can regain control of your life. Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery wants nothing more than to set clients up for a lasting recovery.
