Outpatient programming provides individuals with a high level of support while still allowing for flexibility. Typically a step down from a more intensive level of care, this type of treatment involves attending a variety of therapies and services several days a week. Outpatient rehab in Marietta, Georgia, helps individuals learn coping mechanisms, improve social skills, identify the underlying influences of their condition, and cultivate a meaningful recovery. Designed for those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction as well as co-occurring mental health issues, our programs are dedicated to helping clients reach their full potential.
Outpatient rehab allows individuals a sense of flexibility in their schedule while providing the support needed to achieve long-term recovery from drug and alcohol misuse as well as mental health challenges. Though not as structured as inpatient or residential rehab, this type of programming is an important part of an individual’s continuum of care. It enables participants to integrate back into their daily lives at a pace that is comfortable for them and their treatment team.
Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery offers two levels of outpatient rehab programming: partial hospitalization programs and intensive outpatient programs. Which type of programming is most appropriate for an individual will be determined by their position in treatment, living environment, and the amount of flexibility needed in their schedule.
Our weekday outpatient programming helps those struggling with drug addiction, alcoholism, and mental illness. Following a thorough assessment, clients will be given a personalized treatment plan. This plan will include a wide range of holistic and evidence-based modalities. The types of therapeutic services that outpatient rehab participants can expect to see at our facility include:
Clients attend these therapies throughout the week, with the dates and times dependent on their specific program. Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery emphasizes the role that peer support plays in treatment. Participants are encouraged to share openly with their peers in order to cultivate a sense of belonging while minimizing feelings of isolation.
Additionally, our facility is proud to offer equine-assisted therapy—though clients are not required to participate. This unique type of therapy involves participants caring for and leading horses. This teaches them a sense of responsibility, empathy, confidence, and emotional awareness.
Outpatient rehab is very effective as part of a full continuum of care, making it ideal for those transitioning from a higher level of treatment. It is also a valid option for individuals who cannot commit to inpatient rehab due to school, work, or familial responsibilities related to both addiction and mental health.
For outpatient rehab to be most effective, participants should have a living environment conducive to recovery. This can be their home, provided it’s a positive situation with supportive loved ones. Many participants choose to live in a sober living facility, which offers a trigger-free environment, allowing them to focus on treatment and their outside commitments without negative influences.
It’s never too late or too early to seek the help you need. Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery is proud to offer exceptional outpatient programming, including PHPs and IOPs, for both addiction and mental health treatment in Georgia. Our dedicated team wants nothing more than to see each and every one of our clients succeed. Your health and happiness are our top priorities.
