We prioritize comfort and stability at our rehab facilities in Marietta, GA. Thoroughbred Behavioral is proud to have crafted a nurturing environment conducive to sustainable sobriety and ongoing recovery.

Our Program Options

Thoroughbred Behavioral Health offers comprehensive programming that supplies clients with valuable support as they make a smooth transition toward overall healing. The type of programming that is right for a specific individual depends on the level of care they have completed prior, the severity of their addiction or mental health condition, and the amount of flexibility needed in their schedule. In all of our levels of care, individuals live off-site. It is recommended that they only reside at home if it is a steady atmosphere that is free of triggers. If not, we highly recommend a sober living facility. The programs we offer are detailed below.
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers a structured level of care, providing clients with consistency and extensive support. By having a steady routine, participants are able to maintain a sense of calm and stability. Those participating in this program attend treatment five days a week for approximately four hours at a time.
An intensive outpatient program (IOP) is an ideal balance between higher levels of programming and standard outpatient treatment. During an IOP, clients gain a sense of flexibility while sustaining the support and reliable environment necessary for a long-term recovery. Participants typically engage in therapy sessions for several hours a day, three to five days a week.
Traditional outpatient programming is designed to promote independence and purpose as individuals assimilate back into society. We want the transition back to daily life to be seamless. During an OP, individuals have the opportunity to apply the skills they learned during treatment while still receiving an appropriate amount of therapeutic support.

Services We Provide

Our rehab facilities in Georgia encompass a holistic approach, which means we address an individual’s physical, emotional, and spiritual health. To accomplish this, we incorporate both evidence-based interventions and experiential therapies in our mental health and addiction treatment programs. In particular, we offer:
In equine-assisted therapy, clients connect with, tend to, and lead horses. This is a fun and interactive way to improve their social skills and emotional well-being.
These types of therapy use role-playing and dramatic enactment to help individuals address and improve emotions, behaviors, and relationships.
This innovative type of therapy centers around guided eye movements and imagery. It allows participants to reprocess and resolve past traumas.
The overall purpose of RRT is to reduce the emotional pain of trauma through a combination of hypnosis, cognitive techniques, and guided imagery.
CBT focuses on changing a person’s thought process for the better. The goal is to improve behaviors and establish healthy habits.
DBT centers on problem-solving and acceptance. An important aspect of DBT is the emphasis it places on the relationship between a client and their therapist.
The purpose of EMDR is to retrain how the brain reflects on trauma and to reduce the emotional response ignited by these memories through bilateral stimulation.
This division of therapy focuses on healing a person’s mind, body, and soul. Meditation, yoga, and nutritional guidance are all holistic strategies used to encourage mindfulness and improve overall health.
Trauma therapy helps clients in identifying and addressing their past trauma. This helps them understand how the past has affected them and how they can improve their emotional responses.
