Who Is An Appropriate Fit for IOP?

Intensive outpatient programs in Georgia are designed for those who no longer need the high level of structure synonymous with inpatient rehab or a PHP but would still benefit from extensive support and a consistent schedule. These individuals are ideally transitioning from a more intensive program as a part of their full continuum of care. IOP participants are given a fair amount of flexibility, allowing them to work, attend school, or spend time with supportive loved ones. Those looking to participate should have a safe and sober living environment, whether at their own home or a sober living facility. They should also have a strong support network and have established a firm foundation for recovery.

Our IOP Schedule

During Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery’s IOP, individuals participate in counseling and therapy sessions on weekdays for a few hours at a time. For most clients, this spans three to five days per week. Our exact IOP schedule is adaptable as it is dependent on the program and the client’s individual needs. These sessions take place in clinics, treatment centers, or other designated facilities.

What to Expect At Our Georgia IOP Program

The key components of Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery’s IOP program are as follows:

Assessment

Prior to beginning an IOP, individuals undergo a comprehensive assessment conducted by a team of addiction specialists. This assessment aids in determining the suitable level of care for each client. It also allows us to construct an individualized treatment plan tailored to meet their specific needs.

Counseling

Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery’s IOP offers a wide spectrum of counseling and therapy services to address the psychological, emotional, and behavioral facets of addiction. These sessions aim to delve into underlying issues, cultivate coping skills, and foster sustainable recovery.

Workshops

Our IOP offers educational workshops that cover various topics related to addiction, relapse prevention, life skills, and coping strategies. These workshops furnish invaluable knowledge and practical tools to support individuals in their recovery journey and empower them to make healthier choices.

Support

We strive to establish a sense of community and support among participants through group therapy sessions. This encourages individuals to connect by sharing insights, and providing mutual encouragement. Support plays a key role in cultivating a support network and alleviating feelings of isolation.

Flexibility

IOP programs in Georgia allow individuals to sustain their daily routines and responsibilities while undergoing intensive treatment. This strategy empowers them to apply the skills and strategies acquired in treatment to real-life scenarios.

Transitional Care

Our IOP seamlessly integrates into a continuum of care, serving as a transitional option for individuals who have completed a higher level of treatment—such as inpatient rehab or a PHP. This facilitates a smoother transition from intensive treatment to a less structured yet supportive environment.
