How Do I Know I Need Opioid Rehab?

Though opioids are an effective way to treat pain, they can quickly become addictive when misused. Signs and symptoms that an individual can benefit from attending opioid rehab in Georgia include the following:

If you recognize these symptoms in yourself or in a loved one, it is important to seek help immediately. Opioid addiction can have devastating consequences; the earlier it can be addressed, the better.

Our Opioid Rehab Programs

We offer a wide range of programming in order to get our clients the help they deserve. Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery’s goal is to aid in achieving long-term healing and sustainable sobriety. Our opioid rehab programs exhibit high-quality care that teaches healthy coping mechanisms and habits.

However, it is vital to begin opioid addiction treatment at the inpatient level of care, starting with detox and then inpatient rehab. While we don’t offer these programs at Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery, we partner with providers who do. That way, our clients are ready for our outpatient programs starting with partial hospitalization.

The following are the levels of care needed to recover from opioid addiction:

It is essential to begin addiction treatment with a clean state. Those in need of detox should seek professional treatment as withdrawal symptoms can lead to serious health complications when not supervised. We partner with reputable detox centers that allow individuals to undergo withdrawal in a secure and nurturing environment.

Residential or inpatient rehab is ideal for those in need of 24/7 supervision and care. Participants live on-site while undergoing treatment. Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery partners with inpatient facilities that allow clients to achieve a strong position in recovery before transitioning to outpatient programming.

Our most intensive level of care, PHPs offer necessary structure and unwavering support while allowing clients to reside at home or in a sober living facility. Participants attend treatment five days a week for about four hours at a time.

Typically a step down from a PHP, our IOP offers clients a greater sense of independence. However, it does offer a more thorough level of care than traditional outpatient programs. Our clients attend their IOP three to five days a week for several hours a day.

The least structured form of treatment, outpatient programs focus on integrating individuals back into their daily routines. With a solid foundation in recovery, participants can rejoin society while confident in their sobriety.

How Long Does Opioid Rehab Last?

The time an individual needs to be in opioid rehab is based on the severity of their addiction, how long they have been addicted, and how often they use opioids. Additionally, the type of opioid being misused can affect the length of opioid rehab. Age, health, living environment, underlying causes, and genetic predispositions can also influence this timeline.

The overall goal of opioid rehab is for it to last long enough for a person to have a firm foothold in their sobriety. An individual’s full continuum of care can range from 30 days to a year, depending on the aforementioned factors. Outpatient rehab programs are usually transitioned to after detox and inpatient treatment. This portion of rehab is designed to help an individual integrate back into the world while properly managing recovery and avoiding triggers.

What to Expect At Our Opioid Rehab Programs in Marietta, Georgia

Our opioid rehab program begins with an initial assessment. This gives our addiction specialists a better understanding of your substance use disorder and position in recovery. From there, we comprise an individualized treatment plan. Our programs emphasize the role peer settings and group therapy play in establishing sobriety. Participants are encouraged to connect with others, improving their social skills and curbing feelings of isolation.

At Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery, we are particularly proud of our equine-assisted therapy program. Clients benefit from caring for horses as it builds confidence and improves self-esteem. It also promotes problem-solving skills, empathy, trust, self-care, impulse control, and emotional awareness. Clients are encouraged but not required to participate.
