Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery aims to address the growing concern of kratom misuse and addiction. Kratom, a tropical tree native to Southeast Asia, produces stimulant effects in low doses and sedative effects in high doses, which can lead to psychotic symptoms and both psychological and physiological dependence. Our Georgia rehab for kratom supports individuals struggling with kratom addiction by offering a full spectrum of treatment modalities. Through our commitment to comprehensive wellness and recovery, we strive to provide impactful solutions for those in need of assistance with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders.
The major psychoactive ingredients in kratom leaves are mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine. Kratom leaves are commonly consumed by being crushed and smoked, brewed into tea, or placed into gel capsules. They can be ingested orally in the form of tablets, capsules, or extracts. The leaves may also be dried or powdered for tea or chewed directly.
Subsequent to consumption, kratom at low doses can induce stimulant effects such as increased alertness, physical energy, and talkativeness. Alternatively, high doses lead to sedative effects. Because of these concerning implications, it is worth highlighting that the FDA has not approved kratom for any medical use. In fact, the DEA has listed kratom as a drug and chemical of concern.
If an individual or their loved one is exhibiting any of the aforementioned signs and symptoms of kratom addiction, it’s time to get help. Kratom can be addictive, and individuals can quickly develop a dependency on this substance—meaning they have to ingest more to achieve its previous effect. Kratom rehab in Georgia puts individuals back on track so that they can live a life free of harmful substances.
Our kratom rehab begins with a thorough assessment, providing our team with essential information to develop an individualized treatment plan tailored to each person’s needs. Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery offers various levels of programming to assist clients at different stages of their recovery journey. While our facility focuses on outpatient treatment, we collaborate with exemplary detox and inpatient rehabs in the area for those requiring 24/7 supervision and structured support. This holistic approach ensures that individuals receive the comprehensive care they need for both addiction and any co-occurring mental health concerns.
The least intensive level of care, OPs help individuals transition back into their daily lives. During this type of program, participants can work, attend school, and take care of family responsibilities. It is an ideal last step for those with a secure foundation in sobriety.
IOPs provide a balance between more structured treatment and an increased sense of freedom. IOP clients participate in sessions three to five days a week for a few hours at a time. This is a weekday program that allows individuals to live at home or in a sober living environment. They also have the opportunity to maintain personal and professional obligations to an extent.
Our most structured level of care, PHPs offer a high-level of support and a nurturing environment. If participants have a stable home environment, they may return there following treatment sessions. If not, they are encouraged to reside at a sober living facility. PHP clients attend their program five days a week for around four hours at a time.
Our rehab for kratom in Georgia allows individuals to develop coping skills and healthy habits while fostering confidence, self-awareness, empathy, trust, and impulse control. We achieve this through a carefully crafted combination of evidence-based treatment modalities and holistic healing strategies. These include:
