Inpatient rehab in Georgia offers a highly structured and supportive environment in which individuals can address drug and alcohol abuse as well as co-occurring mental health disorders. With round-the-clock supervision, inpatient rehab ensures a safe and trigger-free space—empowering individuals to focus entirely on recovery. Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery partners with reputable inpatient programs to ensure individuals receive the initial care they need before transitioning to our extensive outpatient programming.
Also known as residential rehab, inpatient treatment allows individuals to recover in a nurturing environment. Throughout inpatient rehab, individuals live on-site. There, they undergo a variety of therapies and treatment modalities to facilitate healing. Additionally, this comprehensive level of programming allows for ample peer support and 24/7 supervision.
The average duration of an inpatient rehab program is approximately 30 days but may vary based on an individual’s progress and needs. Extended stays or transitioning to outpatient programs are recommended for ongoing support and relapse prevention.
Inpatient rehab is designed for those who need a high level of structure and support. Typically, individuals would complete a detox program before transitioning to inpatient rehab as it allows them to begin treatment with a clear mind and healthy body. Those struggling with drug and/or alcohol addiction as well as mental health disorders, can benefit greatly from the consistency of inpatient treatment. It is an important step in an individual’s continuum of care and allows them to learn coping mechanisms in an isolated environment before they begin a PHP or an IOP.

Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery’s PHP and IOP seamlessly integrate into a continuum of care, serving as a transitional option for individuals who have completed a higher level of care, such as inpatient rehab or residential treatment. This facilitates a smoother transition from to a less monitored yet unfalteringly supportive environment.
An ideal step down from an inpatient rehab program, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) continues to provide an intensive and structured level of care for those struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. The level of support and therapy in a PHP surpasses the offerings of traditional outpatient programs while allowing individuals to reside at home or in a stable living environment. This approach is particularly beneficial for individuals who need ample support but no longer require the round-the-clock supervision of a residential setting. Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery’s PHP provides clients with a consistent schedule and a full suite of therapeutic modalities.
Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) stands as a structured addiction treatment that delivers elevated care and support, exceeding the standards of traditional outpatient programs, yet granting the flexibility to reside at home or in a sober living environment.
In Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery’s IOP, individuals participate in counseling and therapy sessions for multiple hours on weekdays—typically spanning three to five days per week. The exact schedule is adaptable and dependent on the program and the person’s specific needs. These sessions take place in clinics, treatment centers, or other designated facilities.
